What We Teach

You are Unique Classes

Did you know that...Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are the most common disease in America, next to the common cold, or that 7 out of 10 teen pregnancies result in high school dropout? More importantly, 2/3rds of all sexually active teens wish they had waited. You Are Unique is a comprehensive character education program available for 7th and 8th graders in public school, home school and in their youth groups. The class provides the facts about emotional and physical consequences of sex outside of a committed married relationship. It also shares how to build a healthy relationship. If you are interested in more information about this important class, please let one of the volunteers at the center know.

Childbirth Classes

If you are 20 weeks or more pregnant and interested in learning about the labor and delivery process, consider attending one of the Woman's Enrichment and Family Center childbirth education courses. Our childbirth outreach program is a four week interactive course designed to help pregnant women and their birth partner become better prepared for the childbirth process. The course includes videos, lectures, handouts, discussions, and practice to enhance the learning process. Some of the topics include fetal development, stages of labor, comfort measures, newborn care and more. If you are looking for a place to learn more about the birth of your child and how to care for your newborn, we are here for you.

Parenting Classes

WEFC has offered several parenting classes including Tedd Tripp's "Shepherding a Child's Heart" and "Instructing a Child's Heart". These are done in group settings with video, workbook, and interactive learning so that their is a common bonding between attendees as they seek to parent their child(ren) from a biblical perspective. We also offer an individualized 4 part parenting series for those not wanting to participate in a large group or who have an obligation to meet certain parenting class requirements.

Finance Classes

Whether through a formal financial program or through sharing of common techniques to help with budgeting, WEFC endeavors to help groups and individuals with managing their finances.

Bible Studies

Small group Bible studies are an important part of the services provided by the Woman's Enrichment and Family Center.

Lifeskills Classes

A variety of classes are offered to help with asic life skills such as gardening, cooking, sewing, couponing and other topics as volunteers are available to teach and attendees are in need.
